Sarah Palin does it again...

There use to be this thing in Vaudeville they called "Cheap Laughs", you know a fart noise at an inappropriate time. You're not suppose to laugh but there is something innate that makes most people at least chuckle under their breath.

The problem with Palin is that there are some people who think she speaks for them, to them and with them. These are the willfully ignorant who are sick and tired of being laughed at by the pointy head liberal media.

Except that there are no more pointy head liberals anywhere close to the media.

Everything is now presented as an either or, or liberal conservative.

Every issue must have two side for almost all stories presented to "news" consumers in this country. Never mind nuance, never mind subtle differences, never mind near unanimous consensus there must always be two sides.

And this is where Blutto with Boobs comes into her glory.

She can always find another side simply by tossing out a syntactic nightmare of a phrase or just letting it rip, so to speak.

She is the voice of not the disaffected or disenfranchised but of those who eagerly dismiss reality.

There once was a political movement called the no-nothings. Today they would be represented by Sarah, plain stupid and Sargent Schultz who "knew nothing..."

If this is the course of the discourse in this day and age, can Idiocracy be far behind.
