1. I think its pretty simple

Hes a functioning alcoholic who is kind of emotionally unstable and he just became the 3rd most powerful person in the country. He also has to deal with the legacy of republican house majority leaders of the past 2 decades and everybody just sort of assuming he is going to get caught up in some scandal.
