"Sovereign Citizen" goes on AK-47 rampage after seafood store tells him it has no crawfish
Edited on Mon Jun-06-11 08:22 AM by ck4829
Larry Wayne Kelly, the man arrested for blasting an Ensley seafood market with an AK-47 assault rifle fire Sunday, had ties to the anti-government "sovereign citizen" movement, Sheriff David Morgan said.

Kelly, 42, is accused of speeding through Ensley, opening fire on a seafood restaurant and leading deputies on a car chase before crashing and being arrested. He's jailed under a $575,000 bond.

He is accused of calling the L&T Seafood Market on Pensacola Boulevard 11 times and becoming "incredibly irate" when an employee said the store didn't have crawfish. At one point, he got out of his truck and fired numerous shots at the storefront.

After the rampage, Kelly told deputies he was a sovereign citizen and did not have to follow the law or obey law enforcement officers.

Poor Ensley, I guess nobody read item #467 of the Sovereign Citizen code: "After writing, filling out, and sending form 'GMFC-123' to the government, writing a letter to your tax doppelganger, and clicking your heels three times, then people must give you crawfish when you demand it."

1. Well...to be fair..
...crawfish are really tasty.

I would probably just send a strongly worded letter, though...

2. "...did not have to follow the law..."
Does that mean he will be waiving his defense rights at trial since they are part of the law?

5. He is a true patriot
He was just firing shots and, uh, ringing bells, to warn the seafood shop that the British were coming to take away their fish.

8. The shame is that Katrina is the reason we are short on crawdads.
He probably doesn't realize that Katrina and the chemical spill resulting from the storm ruined the crawdad beds for a generation or more.

Anyone who wants crayfish is probably eating Chinese imports.

There are some pick and choosers that like a couple phrases from 'art of war'

All war is deception.

And war is an extension of diplomacy and business.

Many see that as everything is a war, and deception should be used always.

It allows some to believe in no moral equivalence in action, which is not how I believe it was meant to be thought on.

Many people put some of those philosophies in movies. 13th warrior had the error, "deception is the point" Excalibur had the comments of "know you enemy, know yourself" and the dragon. And many other usages of small parts of Chinese philosophy in a very small part. Ignoring the better teachings of the superior man.

They may not understand why the posting occurs.

11. Transcript of the conversation between Sovereign Citizen and Clerk
It's best to read this out loud.

Sovereign Citizen: "Sell me some crawfish."

Clerk: "We have no crawfish."

SC: "Of course you do. You just won't sell them to me because I'm a Sovereign Citizen."

C: "Sir, spell 'van' like in 'vanilla.'"

SC: "Uhh...v-a-n."

C: "Excellent. And spell 'straw' like in 'strawberry.'"

SC: "S-t-r-a-w'?"

C: "Very good. Now spell 'fuck' like in 'crawfish.'"

SC: "WHAT? There's no 'fuck' in 'crawfish.'"

C: "Yeah, and I've told you that ten times already. Now please quit calling here."
