Had an interesting conversation last night with a female coworker...
I work as an In-Room Dining (see Room Service) waiter at a hotel in Milwaukee. Last night I worked 2nd shift as a cashier and one of the other servers told me about a room that she went to for a delivery. The gentleman had the door propped open and when she was done setting his order up she asked him if he would like the door closed.

The gentleman told her that he had left it open so that she would not feel uncomfortable about being in the room and referenced the Strauss-Kahn case as the reason.

She said she had never even considered it but thanked him for his concern for her feelings.

1. Good for him
But of course, men like him were never the problem.

I worked as a chamber maid for only one summer and had to fend off a creep.
