Sarah Palin and Gotcha Questions
Is there ever a time when a question is not a gotcha question? I will admit I do not know what question was asked that lead to Sarah Palin's Paul Revere answer; however, it seems that there have been a number of gotcha questions asked to Sarah Palin. When Katie Couric asked Palin what newspapers she read Palin claimed that was a gotcha question. I do not have specific incidents, but Palin has claimed a number of other questions, besides the Revere question and the Couric question, were gotcha questions.

So, are media types only allowed to ask Sarah Palin what is her name and where does she live? It is beginning to look to me that just about any question Palin is asked is a gotcha question.

1. Somebody needs to sift through the emails that were just released....
...from Sarah's time as Gov of Alaska and count the links and other references to newspapers, magazines, etc.

I'm betting Sarah's top hits are Seventeen and Teen Beat.

2. "Where does she live?"
Is probably considered a gotcha question now.

Everything Palin opens her trap is a gotcha moment
How anyone can not see through that brash attitude is beyond me.

3. A "gotcha question" is anything the REAL media asks her. FOX Noise never asks those.
Most "gotcha questions" involve things like reality, history, plans, proposals, ideas, you know, things that require brain activity.

4. For Sarah, any unscreened, unscripted question is a gotcha question.
Because any true question will always get her.

7. Her "debate" with Joe Biden tells you all you need to know
But for some reason, the highly paid folks who put out the network and cable news programs can't quite suss out what she meant when she said that for the duration of the vice presidential debate, she was going to just say whatever she wanted to say. The questions were irrelevant, any points that Biden made were irrelevant. All that mattered was that there was a camera in front of Sarah Palin, and whatever she did was going to go spilling out into people's homes all over the country. It didn't matter to her that she wasn't participating in the debate, and certainly nobody else involved saw fit to try to bring her back out of her version of reality.

As I say, for some reason, that didn't tell the multi-millionaires on the air at the networks or the cable shows all they needed to know about Mrs. Palin.

That being said, my understanding is that Mrs. Palin's soliloquy on Paul Revere wasn't even in answer to a question. She volunteered for the adoring crowd her version of the ride of Paul Revere, unprompted by anyone. Unfortunately for Mrs. Palin, her impromptu history lesson was recorded and released to the general public to hear and digest for themselves. She has been quite busy these last few days futilely trying to explain away her idiotic comments, and it's quite strange to me to hear the media coverage. Perhaps they're happy that at last Sarah Palin is engaging in a debate, even if it's just with herself.
