Obama's in - no more tax breaks for millionaires
Thanks in part to the support and encouragement of USAction/TrueMajority members, President Obama is drawing a line in the sand and promising to make millionaires and billionaires pay their fair share of taxes.

It's a big step, but if we want to restore fairness to the tax code, we need the President to stay strong. Sign here to thank the President, and ask him to stick to his guns in negotiations with the Republicans.

1. How can we be sure that Obama will not compromise again on taxes?

3. Earning 250k does not make you a "millionaire" or "billionaire"
If we want to go back to Clinton rates, shouldn't taxes go up for everybody? Didn't everybody get a tax break under Bush?

11. Well I think he is deluded if he thinks he is going to get just taxes on the upper end raised.
It's not happening.

12. I think he has a good chance if he frames it correctly...
2% of the population hold 98% of the wealth and pay 30% of the total tax revenue.

98% of the population are left to fight over 2% of the "wealth" (note the irony quotes) and from that measly amount they must fork over 70% of taxes.

I'm not sure how anyone can push back from that now that it's out there.
