Or completely fabricated?

Could be either.

7. Sure was
Broussard said she confided about her experiences (with Weiner) with several close friends, including one with Republican political ties. The man, whom she declined to identify, encouraged her to share her story with Matt Drudge and conservative blogger Andrew Breitbart.

8. LOL, what on earth does that prove?
That this woman knows a Republican who advised her to go public? I don't see how that's evidence of much of anything.

9. She went to a politically connected Republican with the story.
They didn't go to her.

11. Still not evidence of a set up
There are million possible explanations for that (the article also stated he was not the only person she confided in). Perhaps this unidentified man was the most politically-connected person she knew and thus was a logical person to seek advice from given the nature of her circumstance.

This is the real world here. Not everybody follows politics or subscribes to an ideological worldview. While few DUers would share sensitive political information with any Republican, there are plenty of regular folks who don't think that way.

12. This sort of answers a question I had
How did Breitbart get ahold of the photos in the first place? It's not like Weiner forwarded them to Breitbart or some Republican operative when he sent them to the women. One of the women must have made them public.

What a mess.

4. If he admits to sending them, its all over.
I was convinced he wouldn't be doing that, because its so freaking stupid. I actually stood up for the guy here for that reason. But from what I just scanned on Huffpo, it looks like he actually was sending them.

You just can't blame the conservatives for swinging at that kind of softball, and you can't be surprised when they hit a home run with it. My question is, when are these people ever going to learn? How many disgraced congressmen does it take???

5. What does this have to do with Breitbart?
Weiner did this alone. How can it be a set-up?

13. My question was how
did Breitbart get a hold of the photos? That's sort of why I believed the part about the hacking.

6. He took responsibility for it
I am guessing no.

He should probably be more discrete when sending exclusives of his masterpiece.
