Why does Ed Shultz want A. Weiner to resign so badly...
why do so many try to pretend that they are so moral and pollyanish as though they have just found out this is going on with anyone. Who do they want to put in Weiners' place if he did resign. (DON'T RESIGN WEINER!)

1. Listening to Ed, it sounds like the lying part. He is entitled to his opinion. Even if I disagree.

2. Dunno. Constituents (and viewers) disagree.
We'll probably hear more tonight, tho I'd rather not.

3. I think maybe Ed believes that Democrats should sometimes throw a bone to the "family values" crowd.
I'm not saying I necessarily agree, but that may be what he's thinking.

21. +1
Clinton's popularity rating went up after the impeachment, but any agenda he was trying to advance was pretty much done.

(...not to mention the fallout that carried over for Gore in 2000)

7. Its not the crime, its the cover-up!
I know, what he did was not a crime, just using that phrase, as I think that is what Ed is getting at.

I am just responding to the OP about why I think Ed is doing what he is doing.

8. Why didn't the Rep just come out and say 'Yep, that's mine' and be done it with?
Seriously. Now we have this friggin' six ring circus and doubts about his marriage, his 'trustability', his motives, etc etc etc ...

That's why people are calling for his resignation. Me? I'm still on the fence.

17. I am so fucking sick of the "HE LIED" whine.
Everybody on the face of this earth lies. All the time. It's not the lie, it's the hypocrisy of lecturing Americans about "morals" while diddling everybody within reach.

Which is what REPUKES do. Not Democrats.

22. And if he tells us more then what...
we already know what is really the main parts of the story. The only thing they are worried about is a pic of Weiners nsked dick. We can see naked didks all day long online if we want to is Ed embarrassed or what?

24. Weiner strung us along
He actually let us think he might have Brietbart caught in a hoax. Instead, he gave one of the biggest shitbags in the world undeserved credibility, like it or not. Had he just fessed up, right off the bat, he would have defused the situation. He fucked up twice, and it's killed a lot of progress he made for the cause. Fuck him.

25. I am very, very sad to hear this about Ed
blab it up about AW, if you must, but no one on "our side" should be shouting about resignation. For one, it is a personal decision, and for two, shouting about resignation is what repubs do. IMHO, of course.

26. If every Member of Congress who told a lie had to resign both chambers would be pretty empty
I'm more concerned about politicians who lie us into wars or sell us out to corporations than I am about Weiner lying about doing something stupid. But, sadly, even Nancy "Impeachment Is Off The Table" Pelosi seems to think Weiner's lie is a more serious matter. :banghead:
