For anyone who feels antsy about Obama's poll numbers...
At this point in his first term, Reagan was polling in the low 40s.

Yet, somehow, Mondale managed to lose to him.

I just wanted to point that out.

1. Yeah, I'm antsy about how high they are. Has he peaked too early?

4. I probably would be too..
The republicans are just so up front with their lies.. and they stand behind their lies knowing they are lying.. even to the point of trying to rewrite history (Palins followers in Wikipedia trying to rewrite the story of Paul Revere)

Till I see the President standing there with his hand up taking the oath for the second time.. I am going to be antsy..

3. I dont bother with polls
The GOP is a train wreck. What is relevant is that there will be MASSIVE CHEATING in states with GOP governors.

6. Mondale lost to a serial liar with dyed hair - there's a shock.
Mondale also had the charisma of a sweaty gym sock. He didn't even make a serious attempt to counter Reagan's lies, and what few efforts he did make were squashed with "there you go again." Obama is the first strong candidate the Democrats have run since JFK. Clinton was easily second, but he came pre-loaded with baggage.
