The question is, can Weiner still be an effective spokesman for progressive values |
I think that when undecideds see him, the first thing they will think about is his weener. It will be a very long time before Weiner regains credibility.

1. Too soon to tell. I suspect Weinergate has just begun. |
I think that there will be a lot more ick to come. Some will be truthful, some false accusations, but it will get worse.
Way to go, Anthony.

6. His credibility and effective spokesmanship is over. |
Plus, he is not Bill Clinton who messed up as President. Weiner will never politically rise any higher than he is now.

11. Of course he can. Unless the Democratic Puritans(Left's answer |
to the Fundies) decide otherwise. From the looks of DU the Puritans are nixing him.

16. No puritans required. Just Democrats who look for integrity and character in a politician. |
Luckily, that represents the VAST majority of Democrats in general and DU in particular.

13. I seriously doubt it. |
And since that's pretty much all he IS (i.e., not much of a legislative achiever other than making bombastic floor speeches), he's done.
