Why aren't the pundits
asking the repub candidates that get out there and say that the President's policies are causing the slide in the economy exactly which policies they are referring to, that are causing the problems?

I'm sure whatever policy they could come up with are repub policies since very few Dem policies have been passed in the last 3 years. Even the stimulus wasn't really a Dem policy.

1. Because the "pundits" are all working for GOP-controlled media
They give Rachel and Ed a couple of hours on MSNBC, which has an audience roughly that of a high school football game. The real "mainstream" media is 100% Republican. They have no vested interest in telling the truth.

2. Because they are pundits!
There are no "pundits" on the left.

Journalism is dead! D-E-A-D, DEAD!

3. Because they are less pun and more ditz.
And you know you can trust me on this because I'm a confirmed punster (and the Puntiff himself confirmed me).

4. Because they pundits are part of the problem.
If they start demanding answers to those types of questions, the whole house of cards comes a-tumblin' down. That's most definitely a no-no.
