My one and only post Weiner confession thread
Randi Rhoades today was playing clips from this morning's Washington Journal of callers from his district.

The great majority still support him. And they despise not so Breitbart.

And that's all that matters.

1. Weiner can come to congress flashing himself and i would find that less offensive
than seeing Breitbart.

4. Maybe they'll change their minds when the rest of the lies come out.
For example, that he emailed porn star Ginger Lee helpful instructions about how to lie about their relationship.

11. That is really not good because
Even people who can applaud him for "coming clean" it was his LAST option....when all else was exhausted. It should have been his first AND THE MOST second. He didn't have the judgement even after having the whole thing playing out to leave well enough alone and not try to control his cyber-hos, who he should have NEVER have trusted in the first place! It's like he didn't learn anything.

6. But he didn't want to stay in Congress
He wanted to run for mayor when Bloomberg exits. That's not going to happen now. He'll be lucky he can keep his job in the House. But there won't be any more theater on the floor for quite a while. He's going to have to knuckle down and get serious.

9. Don't be so sure, a lot of New Yorkers would love to have him as mayor
His voting record with gay rights, the environment, and his vocal advocating of public option resonates farther than his underwear pics for a lot of new yorkers.

12. Early polls indicate otherwise
The Marist poll also found that by more than a 2-1 margin, New York City residents don't want Weiner to run for mayor of their city in 2013. Weiner has long held ambitions to serve as the city's chief executive, and he was considered a leading candidate to replace Mayor Michael Bloomberg before the scandal broke.

The Survey USA poll also found that Weiner would face an uphill battle to become the city's mayor. In that poll, 43% said they would definitely not vote for him should he run, while 11% said they would vote for him. An additional 45% said it was too early to tell.

The Marist poll was conducted Monday night among 500 residents of New York City, and has a 5.0% margin of error. The Survey USA poll also sampled 500 residents, and it has a 4.5% margin of error.

13. The voters who voted weiner and boehner in because of name recognition
Edited on Wed Jun-08-11 08:46 AM by Generic Other
are also just as guilty as the congressman. And I don't believe they didn't get votes because of their names. So the voters are also pervs.
