Drone Strikes Kill 20 in Pakistan
Source: New York Times

At least twenty suspected militants were killed in Pakistan’s northwestern tribal region Wednesday in what were described as a pair of American drone strikes, local news media reported.

The strikes hit a fortress-like compound suspected of housing militants in the Shawal area of North Waziristan, a forested mountainous valley considered to be a stronghold of militants of various stripes. A second strike from the unmanned aircraft also hit a vehicle, according to reports in local news media.

Details of the drone strike remained murky and there was no official confirmation on the number of casualties. The identities of those killed could also not be immediately confirmed. The vehicle and the compound were said to be completely destroyed in the attacks.

The United States has stepped up the pace and intensity of its drone attacks in Pakistan, much to the dismay of nationalists and opposition political parties who have described the strikes as a breach of the Pakistan’s sovereignty.

1. This administration gets things done compared to Bush's efforts.
The contrast is amazing.

With him being a Democrat and all.

6. We don't even know who was killed.
Most of the strikes invovle killing innocents, as well. We are fomenting hate in the region, radicalizing populations and sowing seeds of future reprisals. Blowback is a consequence of these actions.

You can't bomb and kill people into peace. Especailly innocent people and children.
