Heat and air quality advisories have been issued in the Northeast
in advance of rising temperatures and humidity. Areas around Washington D.C., New York City, and Philadelphia are set to break record highs on Thursday.

The above I found on wunderground.com weather page

the below I found on intellicast.com page, temperature maps.

It is only the first week of June!!!

1. It's pretty damn hot here...
Every year it seems to go from 50 to 90 overnight.

3. Last year and this year, went from summer to winter and winter to summer
We "usually" have 3-4 months of glorious fall weather, and a couple months of glorious spring weather.
Not so last year and not so this year.

19. That's been the trend around here.
It goes from cool and rainy to hot and humid within a day. It's really warm here in the mountains today.

2. DAMN I'm glad we got the pool up a couple weeks ago!!!
I've got three teen daughters (one almost 20) and the eldest's boyfriend in the house for the summer (although he's transient - has a job elsewhere). The pool is going to get a LOT of use this year.

5. It passed through the Twin Cities yesterday.
The window AC unit in my living room would only bring the temp down to 78 degrees. We just don't get 103 degree heat here very often.

My basement office, though, held at about 68. It's about that temperature all year long. I like that.

9. Oh, far below zero, of course. But I don't mind it, and threads like these are the reason I don't
complain about them. It can get up to 90 here on the shore, too. It just happened not to this week, and for that I'm grateful.

13. Where Are All The "Snow In The Winter Proves There Is No Global Warming" A-Holes In The Summer?
I can't stand it when I hear some know-nothing snorting and guffawing about what a crock global warming is when it's cold and snowing in the wintertime. And the funny thing is, these same jokers are usually the first ones complaining about how hot it is in the summertime.
