Wisconsin: "The greatest act of election fraud the State has ever seen."

In case you're interested, the Attorney for the Democrats is now making his case to the Government Accountability Board that petitions circulated by Republican professonal circulators should be disallowed.

Watch and listen at the link.

On edit: The Republican has the floor. His argument seems to be that the Board doesn't have the authority to strike petition pages, let alone the entire recall effort, but can only strike individual signatures.

By a 4-2 vote the Board approved a motion they debated as being the "more severe" penalty for outright election fraud.

One of the paid Republican circulators (Sherry Ferril) had a mountain of evidence against her for what the board agreed was fraud.

This "mountain" was made up of about 100 affidavids of People testifying that she had misrepresented the recall petition or flat out forged their signature.

As a result, they agreed to void all the petitions she collected for which there were one or more affidavids providing evidence of fraud.

The problem with this remedy was that the investigation of her circulations was limited by time and money and only a tiny portion of the signatures could be "tested". She collected about 2,300 signatures and only a handful were disallowed by the Board's decision .

They are now proceeding circulator by circulator to determine if other signatures should be similarly disallowed. However, they started with the most egregious case, so there will not be a whole lot of signatures disallowed.

What the Board is failing to do is recognize that the Republican use of paid-by-the-signature circulators committed such wide-spread fraud that all their petitions should be disallowed. They've already conceded that fraud - lots of it - was committed. They've already indicated they will be asking appropriate law enforcement agencies to prosecute the fraud.

I'm not happy. They damn well better fix this going forward and prohibit some of these tactics like paid-by-the-signature circulators.

Not enough DQ's to stop the recall election of Hanson (D-Green Bay). Motion passed to have the election July 19.

Same on Holperin. Motion on Hoperin to have recall election July 19 passed.

Same on Wirth.

The three Dems are going to face recalls.

5. On the flipside...
If there isn't true support for recalling Hanson, Holperin, and Wirth, then an election won't likely oust them, will it?

8. Don't be too sure
With all of the voter caging and roll purging, very few young people and minorities will be allowed to vote. These recalls may very well result in more Repukes.

18. Same day registration will still be in effect for the recalls
Caging and purging will have no effect on these elections.

21. Why do you think the Repukes are doing it, if it will have no effect?
They're evil, not stupid.

22. Not evil - pathological
They do shit because they can't help themselves.

All it means - if you're challenged by a puke poll watcher or if the GAB voids your registration - is that you get to stand in two lines. One to register - with your proof of residence or ID with such - and then you vote.

If anything, the pukes are doing it now (though I've never seen any proof/evidence of them doing it in WI) so that they are in good practice for when the they take away same day registration.

9. Yeah, all of these protests and legal challenges are a complete waste of time
money & energy. Hopefully we'll at some point come to grips with what really needs to happen. But I'm having grave doubts.

16. Each signer needs to be asked if they were told the were signing a petition for the Repub purpose,
or if they were told it was for something else.
