Rep. Weiner's constituents are seriously out of touch (sarcasm) (new poll)
http://talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/2011/06/constituents_seriously_out_of_touch.php?ref=fpblg

Anthony Weiner's constituents fail to get the message from congressman's colleagues and pundits. 56% of Weiner's constituents want him to remain in office; 33% think he should resign.

And he still thinks he can run for president? Irish Bookies give Weiner a 54% chance of surviving.

5. There is a huge gap beween DC politics/the media and actual
real people. If there wasn't, they would working for us. They not only don't know what we want, they don't care, and they want Weiner to go even if the people want him to stay. That is why he needs to stay. Just as Rangel ignored them and stayed.

As for Tweety, how he ever got a job as a pundit, I don't know. But he is tune with DC so I guess that's why, I can't stand him and rarely ever watch him.

And they SERIOUSLY psychoanalyzed Weiner and practically declared him a deviant sex offender.

THIS is the level of insanity currently gripping "The Village" of hyper-excited pundits these days.

Do these people not have hobbies?

9. New Yorkers lived through the "Nation's Mayor"
years ago. Giving his secretary girlfriend a $100,000 government job. Marching his paramours in city parades. Moving another into Gracie Mansion while his wife and kids still lived there. Ah, but Rudy was a REPUBLICAN. I don't remember the rest of the country calling for his removal. Generally, Rudy was a joke. He was in the local papers all the time about his escapades. It was like watching a Soap Opera. Sorry, I cannot name names of his GF's because you needed a scorecard to keep track of them.

Anyway, as I said in another thread, New Yorkers don't shock very easily. Republicans please take note. After the Eliot Spitzer "scandal" who did New Yorkers elect? Another DEMOCRAT.
