FWIW. THIS article is the reason I disliked Candidate Obama.
Now, while I think that there was some editorial license carried out...there was A LOT of things in this that really bothered me about the candidate and led me to believe that his hope and change rhetoric meant nothing. The fears that I had about Obama are now being realized and I have to say...it really sucks to be in a position to say "I told you so"...because as progressives--our entire platform and agenda are being decimated by someone who made empty promises. There are A LOT of Rovian tactics that Obama has used during his ascension to the Presidency. The majority of them make me sick.

>>>snip

Jones appointed Obama sponsor of virtually every high-profile piece of legislation, angering many rank-and-file state legislators who had more seniority than Obama and had spent years championing the bills.

"I took all the beatings and insults and endured all the racist comments over the years from nasty Republican committee chairmen," State Senator Rickey Hendon, the original sponsor of landmark racial profiling and videotaped confession legislation yanked away by Jones and given to Obama, complained to me at the time. "Barack didn't have to endure any of it, yet, in the end, he got all the credit.

"I don't consider it bill jacking," Hendon told me. "But no one wants to carry the ball 99 yards all the way to the one-yard line, and then give it to the halfback who gets all the credit and the stats in the record book."

During his seventh and final year in the state Senate, Obama's stats soared. He sponsored a whopping 26 bills passed into law — including many he now cites in his presidential campaign when attacked as inexperienced.

1. I have seen this happen here in Ohio...
The golden boy gets the credit while the erstwhile legislators get nada...

2. Hmmm?
"There are A LOT of Rovian tactics that Obama has used during his ascension to the Presidency. The majority of them make me sick."

Rehashing the primary?

This could be fun.

3. Ricky Hendon --- LOL!!
That man is my state senator. I've voted twice for an alternate Democratic candidate in primaries (then had to vote for Hendon in the generals, because there is no way to unseat him). He's a joke. You have no idea.

7. Well let me man-up here for a sec
and apologize to you. You were right. I bought all of Obama's bullshit. When the man said he "respected and admired" Reagan, I actually thought he was kidding, I thought it was a ploy to get votes. I didn't think the guy was fucking serious. I stood up for him, I gave him money, my wife and I phone banked, and all we got was this lousy tee-shirt.

I'm sure we didn't tangle in the primaries but if we did I apologize, you were right. I was suckered. Won't happen again.

9. Actually the reason for posting this has less to do with "I told you so"
than it does for an opportunity to share what I thought was a potential problem in the primaries with the candidate and allow for discussion.
I was shot down as being racist. Since I don't have you on ignore...I'm sure we didn't tangle in the primaries, lol.

I felt like a lot of stuff was "overlooked" by the MSM--when they ALWAYS love a good Democratic scandal.

17. Ever read Naomi Klein's "Shock Doctrine" ?
The more I see Obama operated, the more I suspect he's a member of Naomi's University of 'Chicago Boys' Club.
