they have shifted the debate so far rightward that Obama can support supply side economic measures/corporate tax breaks and bailouts, increase warrantless surveillance and searches of Americans, entrench and mandate the domination by insurance profiteers of our health care system, leave Social Security and Medicare on the budget bargaining table, and still clearly be the more liberal candidate on the ballot.
