If you listen to Porter Stansberry (the "endofamerica.com" guy) and buy gold |

Then you deserve to lose your shirt when that bubble bursts.
The guy is a con artist. He created a web site called "endofamerica2010.com".... then he created one called "endofamerica2011.com".... and now has created "endofamerica2012.com".
I'm sure you have heard all of his commercials on the radio and TV.
He was charged by the SEC with fraud in 2007.
The RW nut jobs (mostly) are buying his bullshit... and throwing their life savings into gold and silver.
And they're going to get creamed when the bubble produced by shysters like Stansberry bursts.

2. He's just slightly above the rapture nuts |

Only because, theoretically, his scenario could happen...although it's about as likely as Canada invading and occupying the United States.

gold and silver is a bad investment?
As long as the dollar continues to decline, gold and silver is a good to great hedge against inflation. Further, the industrial demand for silver is high and will continue to be. Is there a bubble. No. The price of gold is being driven by the low dollar. Will the price of gold fall? Likely, but upon stabilization it will settle at a level commensurate with the value of the dollar, as it always has. Silver has been severely undervalued compared to the cost of mined production. There is room for silver to appreciate depending on industrial demand.

5. Unfortunately I think some of them probably don't deserve it. Lots of retirees have lost a lot of |

money in investments. Many tried to do the right thing and save, invest, etc. Times have been cruel and some of them a pretty scared about things like what might happen to Social Security, inflation, cost of living, energy, etc.
I've never listened to the endofamerica schpeel, but I can see how it would be very easy to play on the fears of the vulnerable.
