Well, you could try Homeland Security. I know they are increasing the number of agents from 24 to 50 in my community. They mainly look for "illegals" in the fields.
They didn't have anything to do when they got the 5th, but they got a huge building and need to fill it up.

Sorry I can't help you out on the hiring thing. Washington DC is supposed to be the hot spot for recent grads so you might want to check it out. Good luck with your job search!
