MSNBC reporting Weiner's office is locked and lights are out. |
|
Edited on Thu Jun-16-11 08:44 AM by PearliePoo2
The lights are off at Weiner's office and everybody just left carrying their things. When asked where they were going, one said, "We can't tell you."

Good riddance to embarrassing political trash.
Now, I hope Mr. Weiner gets himself into some serious therapy and can save his marriage and the rest of his life.

certainly our proudest moment.
y'know, when they said Democrats need to learn to fight like republicans do, this isn't what they meant.

i'm sorry if i gave you the impression that i somehow thought all politicians were tweeting their cocks to women, i'm sure some are talking to their wives, kids, lobbyists, or just scratching their balls on our dime. what would have happened if Obama had accidentally tweeted to the world "Michelle, it's going to be great to make love in the White House for the first time tonight!" should he be asked questions about what he does in his official residence, his official office, etc? what if he lies? if the President is allowed to have vanilla sex with his wife in the White House, then i'll cut a little slack to the Reps too, even if their brand of sex is different. who's next, double dippers at the House Cafeteria? or actual criminals?

None, right? It's FREE??

26. Rep. Weiner was the account name. And it was for those |
|
following his politics, not his cock.
If a professor did the same thing using the account set up to correspond with students with the address of Prof. Smith- you'd be appalled. Or should be.

31. I might very well be appalled, but moving the goalposts is a bit |
|
sneaky. The dispute is whether or not the government owns and controls that twitter account (they don't), not whether or not his behavior is shocking.

It is a sad situation ... Mr. Weiner is an exhibitionist among other inappropriate behaviors.
This controversy is certainly NOT because he had 'different' sex -- he is being forced to resign because he has behavioral problems with women and because he so blatantly lied and attempted to covered-up.
I would not defend him any more than a Repuglican or a priest or a teacher ... who did such things.
His departure is simply good political news for the Democrats.

|
Edited on Thu Jun-16-11 04:28 PM by kestrel91316
He didn't show his junk to "America", IIRC. He showed it to a select few people who apparently wanted to see it.
His mistake was in thinking it would stay private. For that, he's a fool.
And yeah, there's a big difference between a public figure and elected government official doing it and some private citizen.
But your blanket condemnation of exhibitionism is silly. What do you think millions of men and women are doing on our beaches every day in the summer? There is little if any difference in what is displayed.

15. Yesterday Weiner apologists hypocritically ripped a porn star because she has different sex than us |
|
Comments abounded about how you couldn't trust a porn star "former porn star" says all you need to know, etc. - all with no other knowledge of the woman beyond her sexual activity.
Hypocrites, one and all.

the fact is her story isn't even all that damaging to Weiner. He asked her to lie to the press which is not a crime nor is it surprising in the least.

I am THOROUGHLY disgusted with the Democratic leadership, including Obama and Pelosi.
Weiner did NOTHING illegal and that is what they should have stood on and supported Weiner.
They need to start supporting Democrats and stop throwing them under the bus.
The Dem leadership may be surprised in the coming years at their continuing low support from their base...with actions like this, why would true liberals and progressives want to continue to vote Democratic?
