those photos and some of the dialog from the phone conservations has been made public. There is one difference between this "scandal" and others. You didn't have graphic photos and dialog circulating in public during the Clinton-Lewinski scandal. You did have some details but not to this extent. I think Anthony Weiner should run again in 2014. That's the best thing for him to do.

1. I just wish Dems expended as much energy on pressuring REPUKES
to resign for their own misdeeds as they have on Weiner.

2. I'm not sad.
He's the only one responsible for what he did. I think he did the right thing by resigning.
I'm all for him running again, if that's what he chooses. If the people elect him again, fine. No problem with that.

get some psychiatric help to figure out why he has a compelling need for everyone to see his crank. Maybe he'll make a comeback. Edit to add: I wonder if his parents are still alive and know what's been going on? Imagine the pride of having a son become a member of Congress, and then the horror of seeing your son's erection on the evening news. Good Lord.

5. Or, maybe Anthony Weiner's parents had a good sense of humor
and would have laughed their heads off. -- More likely than your scenario.

how neurotically obsessed we Americans are about sex.

We would just feast and feast on his pecadillos. It makes us feel so much "cleaner," "fastidious," "neat," "organized," "orderly," -- well, just good, better and best about ourselves.

After all, we never even think about "naughty things," do we?
