So, will getting rid of Weiner gain the Democrats
the Republican and independent voters it seeks? Will it gain the party respect in the political grinder and the media? No to both. I guess maybe it keep respect in Democratic circles. But across the nation, it will be forgotten and we will move on to the next big media thing. Meanwhile, we all need to focus on what is best for the nation going forward and the difficulty we face and this is what we should all be discussing here and in our communities.

1. Yes.
Democrats can clean up their own house.

Democrats gain respect as a party/organization that values decency and respects women.

Gone and forgotten ... Mr. Weiner ... we can certainly hope so.

Better than him hanging around as a punching bag for the corporate media and the Repuglicans for another year and a half.

2. No. But it will stop the drip, drip, drip of this ridiculous story.

And it might serve as a reminder to other Dems -- if you think you're in trouble, consult your party leaders before you schedule any press conferences.

4. You're funny-- actually it will make them more of a laughing stock than they already are
I read that at least one republican is already trashing Pelosi for not coming out for Weiner's resignation SOONER.

5. We have earned the reputation as the wimp party.
No guts. No fight. No cohesion. What a sad sorry day. The loss will far outweigh the gains, just you watch.

7. Hell no.
Believe me, the Repukes are laughing their collective asses off at the chumps. And chumps they are. And the media will probably change their story to something like: "Why don't Democrats support their own?"

Pandering clueless chumps.
