so I think nerves were the main things that got rattled. There's been one small aftershock.
As long as this isn't the prelude to another big one like the 74 quake, they're OK.

size. They happen pretty frequently. People are OK, I'm sure. Now, an 8.0 will cause a lot of damage, but not this one.
It's nice that you're concerned, though.

When people find out about it on the news, they call an Earthquake Party.
Not making light of the quake in Anchorage, it's just having been through every quake from Sylmar in '71 makes one a little jaded.
