found it very interesting that a fair number of the republicans that rail against big gov't, not only get their congressional pay paid by taxpayers but also are getting additional pensions paid by states (paid by taxpayers)

3. Like him or not...
he's apparently fiscally responsible. The conclusion we are to reach from this is that he's not bought and sold.

I wouldn't vote for him at all but, until someone proves otherwise, his walk matches his talk. I can admire a person who does that, even if I don't particularly admire his politics.

to the wealthiest members of Congress...Did you have a point?

Is it that he does not measure up to the top 10 wealthiest members of Congress (7 of which are Democrats)?
