Japanese Scientist Makes Poop Burger |
|
www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/06/16/japanese-scientist-makes-poop-burger_n_878210.html
Japanese scientist Mitsuyuki Ikeda has been busy playing Dr. Frankenstein -- he's developed a "burger" made from protein extracted from human feces. Yep, you read that correctly, real human poop.
He combined the synthesized protein with soya and added some stake sauce for taste and dubbed it a burger. According to the video, which explains the process, it even tastes like beef. "It's 63 percent protein, 25 percent carbohydrates, three percent lipids and nine percent minerals to make one Turd Burger."
Laugh now, but with the worlds popularization projected to pass 9 billion people in the next 40 years, the seas being over-fished, and farm land running out, it may be our future.

Sometimes I wonder if they skin or gut first.

I don't think there's a worse burger out there. Though I know a few people that love them. Myself, I'd gladly take the poop burger over a slider any day.

15. Human feces, no way. But... |
|
cow turds actually smell pretty good.
They probably wouldn't even need all that much processing, either. Lots of fiber, too.
