Wisconsin: Walker Budget Highlights |
|
THESE ARE IN THE WISCONSIN STATE BUDGET WHICH HAS BEEN PASSED (along with a lot of other bad stuff)
$2.3 billion in corporate tax breaks over the next 10 years
$1.6 billion less for public education
70,000 Wisconsinites could lose health care coverage through BadgerCare, up to 1 million more could see their health care costs skyrockets due to cuts
$250 million cut from the UW System and $70 million cut from tech colleges
Raises taxes on the working poor by $70 million
Puts polluters in charge of environmental regulations
Won't guarantee that SeniorCare will continue after next year
Ends funding for critical women's health access

If they take my money for the next 12 months I wonder if I'll get it for that long? Probably not.
I could probably get by without it, but I have a 19 year old goddaughter who is on Medicaid who needs her medication and counseling and would be in a world of hurt if she gets cut loose.
