Why is a former CEO with no political experience being considered for president? |
|
Seriously why is freaking Herman Cain seriously being considered as a contender? What sense does it make to risk allowing someone with no experience in government to be allowed to gain the highest office in the land? It makes no sense. What the hell does a CEO know about governing? All they know how to do is steal and leach off the work of others.

21. I'm pretty sure most of the laws passed |
|
That are turning us into a corporatist state were written by politicians who've had little experience outside of government.
They take those donations and they write those laws so they don't have to find jobs in the private sector. How many former politicians get "real" jobs vs become lobbyists or join "think tanks"?

No matter how goofy they are.
Lyndon Larouche ran for President a half dozen times, for chrissakes.

Personally, I sincerely hope they nominate someone like Cain. They'll get thrashed.

19. Because He's Black, And Everyone Knows................ |
|
..............that black people only voted for Obama because minorities of ANY stripe ONLY want to vote for someone that looks like them. So logically, if you run a black person against Obama, the black vote will split evenly. Then, if you have a woman as his running mate, you'll corner the female vote too.
I'm not kidding, this is how Republicans ACTUALLY think. "We lost because Obama got 96% of the black vote. So if WE trot out our OWN blackie............"
Think I'm wrong? Then tell me why McCain chose Sarah Failin as his running mate in '08. Everyone knows that he did it because he thought he'd get all the Hillary voters to switch teams just because his running mate had a hoo-hoo instead of a ha-ha.

|
She had never held political office or run a business. Did you say that about her?
This is not uncommon. I don't think being a career politician is necessarily a great qualification for continuing to be a career politician. Except it does mean they're probably better than others at campaigning.
There are many reasons to question Cain's sanity, but the fact that he's not a career politician isn't one of them, IMO.

Before she was "just a president's wife", Hillary Clinton worked as an attorney advocating for children's rights issues.
Once again your ignorance regarding her qualifications is appalling. My guess is that if she were a man that you wouldn't think twice about it.

Saying that, only the fringe tea party types actually think Herman Cain should be President. He is grass roots fan favorite, not a serious contender. The other candidates don't want to offend his supporters by calling Cain out on the dumb things he says, but he's never going to amount to anything politically. The Republicans may be idiots, but they aren't going to nominate a guy who'd lose to Obama by 25 points.
