Jon Stewart eviscerates Faux Newz on thier own turf |
|
Edited on Sun Jun-19-11 09:14 AM by Boxerfan
Awsome job-he neatly untangled the hosts attempts to discredit him or Comedy central. Then he got lobbed a softball-something to the effect that Faux viewers are very happy with the job they do as a news outlet-so the must be good right?...
Jon said-Your viewers are the worst informed and pole after pole has proven that....
Boom goes the dynamite!:nuke:

13. I like Jon's response to Wallace's claims that most of main stream media is liberally biased.. |
|
Response: most of media is lazy and focused on sensationalism and if it sounds politically biased its just a coincidence. Fox on the other hand has an active political agenda imposed by ownership and management.
This is absolutely correct.

are the least informed viewers out there. The bottom line is advancing the agenda of Ailes/Murdoch/RWGOP. If they can convince ignorant people to vote against their own best interests then they have been successful.

I sat in a restaurant yesterday morning and the assholes behind me were spilling all kinds of lies to each other (panel to approve medicare treatment and the like). Was really hard to hold my tongue and turn around and say "that's a lie," which I would have had to repeat over and over. Sometimes I want to tell people to get their "facts" from some other source than faux "news" (I know, I know--the word faux and the quotation marks around news are a redundancy, but it can't be said enough).
The lies get repeated over and over, and the idiots continue to buy them.
I get a little discouraged from time to time; can you tell?? :nuke:

17. I have interrupted a conversation of a conservative lies and it was not well received. |

I could not help myself. When people are talking loudly in a public space, I think that invites response from anyone listening.
