For those of us who don't get Current TV......here's how we can get Keith.

You do NOT have to subscribe to any premium channel service or tier in order to have access to COUNTDOWn with Keith Olbermann.....

It is available FREE through Apple's iTunes Store.

Here's the procedure:

1. If not already a member, go to the Apple iTunes Store and set up an account. (You will need to download iTunes software from apple.com if you do not already have it. It is available for both PCs and MAcs).

2. Click on iTunes Store.

3. Click on TV Shows.

4. Do a search for 'Olbermann'. Several options will appear, one of them being his new COUNTDOWN program on CurrentTV.

5. Click on 'SUBSCRIBE". It is free - and will download each broadcast automatically on a daily basis.

Just wanted to let everyone know that you do not have to fork over additional monies (or any money at all) to have access to our Keith!!!!

1. I wonder what the time lag will be & if it will be all three hours..

(if I am correct in thinking the show is three hours, that is).... Anyone know what the normal lag is between broadcast and availability as a podcast?

Programming guide says one hour at 8pm eastern.
Repeat at 11pm and again at 2am.

8. Rachel's podcast is available almost instantly after it ends. Others with

less resources can take much longer.

And it bears mentioning that you DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE AN IPOD to use iTunes. It is PC based.

Good luck with educating people -- be prepared for the inevitable DUers who will ask for transcripts or synopses, cause they don't get that channel (Current) or don't have a TV, whatever. Olbermann has always been available on iTunes...lots of progressive podcasts are available and easy to find with its very own iTunes Store tab.

If nothing else, I am tired of iTunes apps being tacked onto every upgrade I do on my existing programs - and not one of the ones I WANT are Apple products. (I feel the same way about Yahoo toolbar, which also seems to be tacked onto numerous upgrades.)

Here is likely to be a way to watch Keith without an app: http://current.com/video/ It looks as though many of the Current programs are available directly through their website and I would expect Countdown to be included.

this evening, but the Current TV website gives me no hope that I'll be able to watch it without cable and their channel on the cable. Oh, well. Once Keith went off the air I switched over to watching Rachel, and I do like her, other than when she has that idiot former Republican Committee Chair on. I simply skip those segments any more.
