So now that the class action suit is all but dead - how will the wronged get compensated?
Since justice is available to only the highest bidders, I think its time we took things into our own hands. No, I am not encouraging vandalism or violence. That would solve nothing and just make us look bad, no matter how much the bastards deserve it.

I am suggesting a "take what you can" attiude to the wronged. If you are in fact wronged, there are several extremely legal ways to seek revenge upon a company, and I'm surprised these aren't discussed more. Here's just a few:

1 - Jam their phone lines. Most PBX systems could not handle all phones being used at once. Even with Voice over IP, there are limitations. There are Hyperterminal scripts you can write, that call every single phone at once. Granted, you would need volunteers for this, and multiple lines, but it can be done. And when most business' corporate headquarters can't get business done by phone, they start bleeding money like a cut jugular.

2 - Email Spam Attack. This one is borderline illegal, but not too hard to pull off. A look on the net will show you a ton of scripts you can use that will saturate every employee's email box. Granted, you need the addresses to do this, but so many are guessable: i.e. jsmith, john.smith, john.a.smith, etc. There are also clearinghouses out there that research exactly that - the emails of all the people in a given business. All you need is the addresses, and some multi-part logfiles and whammo, company down.

3 - Stink bombs. Now this may seem like a fraternity prank, but these can be very real and very effective. All you have to do is get past security, drop one on every floor and no one is getting anything done that day. Co-ordinate a nationwide stink attack, and their entire US operations aren't getting anythying done.

4 - Creative use of high powered magnets. All you need to do to wipe out a computer is to get a high powered magnet close enough and good bye hard drive. Granted, this borders on vandalism, and is probably illegal, so this is for information only.

These are just a few things you can do. A little secret: most Congressmen don't know jack about internet security, magnets or telephony. Chances are their case workers don't either. Pretty easy to make a congressman unproductive (as if they weren't already) but remember the Congressmen are just Corporate Surrogates. Chances are any retribution taken out on a Congressman's office will only make them mad. Make a corporation unproductive and you've actually costed them money.

1. I'm sure those are some well thought out strategies but

I fail to see how that compensates the wronged.

Perhaps you could explain.
