Is it possible for a Republican to win the presidency by |

telling the electorate they'll pull more troops out of Iraq/Afghanistan/Libya/wherever than Obama? Of course they'd be lying about it (well, maybe not Paul), but that could be a golden ticket, if it's framed the right way. I got thinking about this with all the posts about having more troops in Afghanistan at the end of the first term than at the beginning. I can see the talking points now:
* capping the money gusher for use at home, possibly to off-set mean ole Obama's coming cuts to Medicare/Medicaid/Social Security * saving troops' lives * showing the world we're "not building an empire" * fill-in-the-blank bullshit
This sort of shit happens when you don't do what is expected of you. Scary stuff.
