1. If you are talking about states like Mississippi and Utah you'll be waiting around a long time |
|
I'd say a minimum of 20 years in those states.
Those homophobes raise their children to believe that stuff too and it's passed down generation to generation.

That'd be nice. Something tells me though, that the best chance for that (the proposition 8 court case) is going to win in Appeals, but the Supreme Court is going to pass on it. SO gay marriage would be legal in California, but not the law of the land.

8. If the Supreme court passes on it, that would make it legal in 9 States |
|
The appeals court covers the western region, if they rule on it, the effect will be on all nine. However, if they say the propionates don't have standing and they pass on the case then it only applies to CA. If the propionates then take their lack of standing issue to the Supreme Court the court would only rule on the standing issue since the ninth circuit would not have issued a ruling on the merits. If the supremes passed then the standing issue would cover all nine states. If they gave them standing the case would then go back to the ninth circuit for a ruling and then the supreme court would rule or pass on an appeal of what ever decision the ninth circuit made.
