I think there should be a tax increase. I make barely okay money, but I'm willing to pay more. |
|
So I read now that the Republicans in the budget talks with the White House are actually opposing a new tax cut (surprise! because it might help Obama politically). For all the wrong reasons, they're on the right side of this question. Money's tight for me right now. But I still have to pay my bills. But as a tax payer, I'm willing to tighten my belt just a little bit more if it'll turn around this escalating budget deficit. After all, it's my deficit too. I'm protected by the military that's breaking out budget. My driving is safer because of the roads my government builds in my name. I'm healthier because of the food regulations my government enforces. I'm willing to do my share. I don't know how I'd get by, but I'm ready to do what I have to if it means passing just a little less debt onto my kid.
I'm willing for millionaires and deadbeat corporations to start doing their part too. I wouldn't mind a little more government stimulus spending, if it's properly targeted. But it's insane thinking we'll fix the budget without raising taxes. I'll take the hit if it helps. I own the government, or at least one 300 millionth of it. And like I said, I have to pay my bills.

2. Sure, I'm all for that. I'm just saying this constant tax cutting is full-on nutso. |
|
Government policy should be about creating work, not wealth. Exporting jobs does create monetary wealth, but not real prosperity. Tax cuts are an inept way of trying to create jobs. They mostly create jobs in Vietnam and Taiwan. I'm just wanting the government to quit being so stupid all the time.

4. Exporting Jobs is a "Net Loss" |
|
Exporting jobs does NOT create monetary wealth as a whole.
Will that is unless you believe the BS the Chamber of Commerce puts out

3. I don't make much, but I am willing |
|
to pay a bit more. Maybe we, the willing, should all send what we think we can afford through FUX News & CC: POTUS, boners, ryans et al offices, with the Money Orders made payable to the IRS?
That might make some republican sphincters pucker just a bit.

5. We don't need to raise taxes on people who are just getting by or |
|
barely making it. We need to raise them on the people who make plenty, pay little or none, and are living lives of incredible luxury: the 2%ers AND THE CORPORATIONS.
