Two off the cuff remarks Obama made today struck out at me (gay marriage)
If you read his words today they seem to hint that he will ultimately flip:

"I'm not going to make news on that today" (in other words, he could make news on that some other day)

and

"I'm going to keep giving you the same answer until I give you a different one" (meaning, a different answer is possible or likely in the future)

1. Could well be. Today was not about that. It was about
other stuff. Tomorrow's another day, and so on. Lots of stuff out there to deal with. It's impossible to deal with everything every day.

2. It's going to happen after the election folks
Gay marriage doesn't poll as well in swing states. Obama wants to win the swing states.

Once he's won those states, he'll change his mind. Guarantee it.

3. Or in other words ... stop asking because I'm not changing my mind!
... my mom used to use those same 2 deflecto-sentences all the time. Basically it means 'quit wasting my time because you know the answer's no'.

4. Whatever ....
...I'm so sick of waiting for this President to do the right thing, only to be disappointed. As a New Yorker, I'll take my comfort in the action last week by our state government. I have no faith whatsoever left in this President, on only a bare thread of faith left in the national party.

5. Dishonest trap questions
Like they ever tried that with Bush Junior. Deserves an intelligent dismissal which Obama always comes up with. They probably miss the dumbness. How else can they do their corporate propaganda job?
