Use whatever constitutional amendment applies to pay the nation's bills despite the republiCon House efforts to use the debt ceiling as a wedge to protect corporations and the wealthiest Americans from tax havens and tax hikes necessary to close the debt gap. A default isn't even realistic thinking.

Then, in 2012, run the campaign on the need to elect Democratic House members to stabilize the upcoming budgets with a promise to close down the republiCon corporate loopholes, AND to raise needed revenue by raising taxes on those most able to afford tax hikes.


This isn't at all difficult. You have almost 80% of the population with you. WTF?

1. We Don't Get to Do That

The Supreme Court would rule with the Repigs, of course, and the government would shut down.
The media would blame Obama for everything, and the economic chaos would doom his Presidency.

The Repiglickins are NOT bluffing. They are betting financially that there WILL be a default,
and they will make lots of money on it when it happens.
