considering that's where the Great Fire of London started in 1666.

3. Well maybe not seems it did shut down some subway stations
London Bridge, Bank and Monument evacuated after chemical spillage

Bank station and Monument station were evacuated this morning causing severe delays in the city.
Commuters were told to expect up to 30 minute delays.
Up to 50 firefighters were present at Monument station whilst police, firefighters and ambulaces attended Bank station.
London Fire Brigade tweeted that the incident was due to the smell of chemicals coming from a storeroom.

The fire alert caused major overcrowding at London Bridge station.
TFL reopened Bank station at 9:32, although Monument and London Bridge remain closed.

London Ambulance sent their hazardous area response team (HART) a specialist team trained to provide lifesaving medical care in hostile environments. They are currently on standby.
TFL later told some sources that the chemical smell was coming from some computer equipment in the Communications Room.

4. TFL says Monument Station is closed due to a fire alert

Screen cap, because the map is a little tricky to navigate, especially if you don't know the Tube system very well:

Really, this is not a tremendous deal. Tube stops get closed all the time while the fire services investigate.
