Gore proposed “putting both Social Security and Medicare in an ironclad lockbox, where..."
"...the politicians can’t touch them."

“To me,” he said, “that kind of common sense is a family value. Hands off!”

It is and HANDS OFF! Like "hands off" means hands off. And hands off of Social Security and Medicare is still common sense.

Anyone else is a fool or a thief and it's not worth wasting time trying to determine which they are because at the end of the day, it doesn't matter.

Either they're going to protect your future or they're not.

11. I bet that Gore is even sounding good to some of the folks that mocked him
considering that many of them are now entering the years where Social Security and Medicare are needed.

2. K&R
''...you can stand back and look at this planet and see that we have the money, the power, the medical understanding, the scientific know-how, the love and the community to produce a kind of human paradise.

But we are led by the least among us - the least intelligent, the least noble, the least visionary. We are led by the least among us and we do not fight back against the dehumanizing values that are handed down as control icons.''

4. Looking at the republican presidential hopeful lineup, for example, it's
becoming apparent IMO that the best of the herds on the planet well might not want to run for president anymore. ... that the worst will rise, and continue to rise. ... that it becomes a calling for the truly heartless and sociopathic crew.

5. If that "lock box" is stuffed full of government bonds
That are looking a little suspect these days, they can rob the lock box without ever touching it.

6. When I thought that "the full faith and credit of the US" meant something...
... I didn't see it as so necessary.

Now I realize that the country is run by a bunch of douchebags for whom selective strategic default is a good idea, provided the victims of that default don't have the tools to retaliate.

7. And that's only one reason they had to steal the election from him...
Climate change was another BIG reason.

8. And even though Bush wound up promising to put SS & Medi in a lockbox too, of course after he....
...was elected he went on to such idiotic heights as pushing to invest SS in the stock market.
