Sen. Russell Pearce (R. Ariz.) Recall: Enough signatures to force a Re-election.
Edited on Sat Jul-09-11 08:26 AM by Cal33
Sen. Pearce is the powerful president of the Ariz. State Senate. It's the first
time that any state legislator will face a recall election in Arizona's history.

He was offered by the opposition to either resign or face recall re-election.
His reply was that he wouldn't resign.

Well, Democrats are finally fighting back against the high-handed arrogance of
the Republicans -- and in many states at the same time.

Protests alone weren't enough. Now they are being followed by action. We need
to do this throughout the country. wherever the Repubs. have a strangle-hold.

1. Are Dems. beginning to realize that the GOP probably laugh at Dem. protests, but

they can't help but respect and pay attention to Dem. actions.

2. Unfortunately the Democrats have not offered a candidate
to stand against him in the recall election. In fact no one, in either party, has said they will run against him.

3. If the Dems already have enough signatues for a recall, they are
probably certain that they can find a candidate to run against the incumbent
in a recall election. There will be a time limit established, and I hope
the Dems. will have a good candidate to run against him.

In all those states with ineffectual, if not dangerous Republican governors,
Democrats should do the same thing and start a recall election process. About 6 or
7 states are, or soon will be, doing it now.

Dems. seem to have reached a point, where they will no longer just quietly take
the crap that some Repubs. dish out. There seems to be a change in attitude to,
"If you keep on with your crap, we'll get you thrown out on your ear!"

4. The recall election is less than 4 months from now.
It is a very large district and to have no candidate at this point is not good news. If Pearce wins the recall election he will end up being stronger. I don't think the people behind the recall thought things through.
