Why are we doing the opposite of what works?

Germany just approved its 2012 fiscal year budget, proving that the only way you get the deficit down is ECONOMIC GROWTH.

BERLIN - Germany's Cabinet has approved a 2012 budget that foresees spending remaining more or less flat and a significant decrease in new borrowing. The draft budget approved Wednesday calls for total spending of €306 billion ($443 billion), compared with €305.8 billion this year.

Net new borrowing is pegged at €27.2 billion. That compares with €48.4 billion this year and is below the €31.5 billion the government projected for 2012 in March.

Germany's strong economic growth has boosted tax revenues this year.

The Cabinet also decided in principle Wednesday to cut taxes for low- and middle-income earners in 2013. However, details have yet to be resolved.

Guess why Germany is now able to pay down its debt and cut taxes on low income people at the same. Yep, you guessed it...they raised taxes on the rich and on corporations:

3. We're doing what works for multi-national corporations and the very wealthy...
Germany is doing what works for it's citizens and the future of the country.

Very different agendas.

4. Because that's the republican way
Germany also invested in developing new and sustainable energy sources and networks. However, I don't think they have to pay back hundreds of billions, if not hundreds of trillions, of borrowed dollars so they could go to war either, and I'm sure that in itself takes a load off both economically AND physiologically. In fact, I remember very well how our w branded America reacted to Germany and France when they refused to join the w brand posse. They even wanted to change French Fries to Freedon Fries. LMAO! Good luck trying to expalin that to the still war branded Americans! THAT would be just too painful for the war branded to admit to and I believe the war brand's unwillingness to face their very painful selves is the main reason why they are STILL trying to float their sinking boat full of crap. It's as if they are the land of Oz's wicked witch of the west while Dorothy is splashing water on them. Or they are the demon in possession of Regan while Father Damien Karras splashes Holy water on Regan. The water is the life and the warpiglicans FEAR and HATE such life.

I believe our problems are directly tied to two of the "Seven Deadly Sins" for the mega wealthy it's greed and for their brainwashed minions it's pride.

Thanks for the thread, WillyT.
