9. JFK cut the highest tax bracket from 91% to 70%. |
|
And that's just about right what they should be paying. Now, it's about 15%.

13. Not quite - he believed *LOWER* tax rates (for that time) would increase revenues in 1963. |
|
Along with closing some massive tax loopholes, that is. (Funny how the Heritage Foundation never includes that little tidbit, huh?) Trying to compare the economic situation in the late '50s & early '60s to today is a joke.
Guess what? It didn't work then, just as it didn't work in the '80s, and didn't work in the '90s. In fact, by the 2000s supply-siders stopped trying to claim tax cuts would increase revenues altogether, and finally admitted that their plan all along was to shrink the size of govt at all levels - starting with social spending (but don't you DARE even look at the military!) Basically, they want to get rid of everything that actually helps people and keep everything that harms people.
Tax cuts don't increase tax revenues. They never have. They never will.

"I understand better every day why Roosevelt, who started out such a mild fellow, ended up as ferociously anti-business. It is hard as hell to be friendly with people who keep trying to cut your legs off." JFK

10. It seems like the most simple thing in the world |

Yet somehow we have a president who has definitely not learned this simple truth.
