Boehner's plan: Show your plan - so the left gets angry.

If Obama's 4 trillion cuts plan includes SS, medicare & medicaid (which it most assuredly does) - than the focus will be on THAT and not revenues.

Dems will than have to say we won't vote for it, putting the onus back on the Dems.

Unfortunately for them - they blinked and released the 'escape plan'.

This will be interesting.

2. When it comes down to it...
we will not stay home in November and it scares the shit out of them.

We may be mad at the Prez, but we will not allow a President Bachmann.

5. Exactly - which is why Obama can propose entitlement changes.

We're never going to allow Bachmann, Romney whomever to win. We'll vote to stop that every time.

Is it more a vote for Obama or against the Republican nominee? Either way same outcome.

3. OK, I heard the "raise the age" on Medicare floated but I didn't hear anything specific
on SS or Medicaid. Can you tell me what those cuts, which you describe as "assuredly", are? I don't remember the specific speech in which Obama identified them.

6. "Show the plan." He showed the f-in plan. Raise taxes.
They didn't like it. They threw all of their toys out of the crib and are now holding their breath until they turn blue. (See what I did there?)

7. You're making about as much sense as if a cat was walking around on your keyboard
What gives?
How many times does Obama have to tell you that to him SS and Medicare are sacred cows that he won't touch to cut only to raise the revenue? How many times?

Pay attention please.

11. He said he has offered up his sacred cows. Raise the age requirement to 67

Was it a bluff? Looks that way. If the republicans accepted that offer? Age 67 it would be. (unless House voted down).

No need to get all huffy.

12. But you're not paying attention
That was a ploy to get the PUKEs to not want to do that because he knows that no matter what he wants the pukes are against it

come on pay attention to whats going on. This has been hashed out so many times here already

9. The left's anger was clearly PART of Obama's plan
If we start from the premise that the GOP couldn't get a vote together on the deal, then *everything* Obama put on the table was put their with the foreknowledge that the GOP wouldn't go for it. At that point, the madder the left gets, the more Obama looks like he's giving up, and the worse the GOP looks for not budging and inch. It seems pretty clear that the strategy not only contemplated, but also required, the hyperbolic flailing of the left.
