There will be all hell to pay. Once they discover that the Republicans demanded cuts to SS and Medicare and other painful cuts, they will be very, very pissed.

It is unfortunate that they are not now paying attention. Republicans are picking their back-door lock even as these folks are oblivious to the heist that is about to happen.

They ran up this monstrous debt and now, someone, has to pay. And they are threatening to blow up our government's economy if the Democrats do not agree to cuts in Medicare and Social Security and Medicaid. But that is not all.

While they hold the threat over the heads of all America, including Republicans, they refuse to ask the wealthy to pay back a little of the money they got over the last 10 years. Even as they borrowed the money so they could pay the very rich with taxcuts, so the rich would give them money to stay in power, they refuse to ask them to give back what they borrowed in the first place and which is a big part of the present debt and deficit. That is the side of the Devil and they are well on their way straight to Hell.

The truth of what they've been doing to us has been out there for a long damn time but people have either been too busy to look and listen for it or they flat out don't want to know it.

After GWB and the Republicans mismanaged the government/economy for eight long years until it was finally in a near-depression with a mountain of deficits and debt, two years later U.S. voters went to the polls and elected more Republicans at the federal and state levels than at any time since 1928 (according to, I believe it was, Lawrence O'Donnell).

I don't see much reason for optimism.
