An easy media solution to the Michele "problem" |
|
Y'know how she NEVER answers a question, and only responds with her canned answer?
All media (except of course for Fox) should just cut away from her as she launches into her spiel and thank her off camera for showing up and then comment on how she's welcome back IF she answers questions, but if all she wants is face time on-camera, she can go to HER network..Fox.
Republicans are TRAINED to do the "7-second interrupt/launch talking points" method, and it's just a waste of time to even try to prod them or argue with them.. They just end up getting MORE time.
If this were done, these candidates would truly become the "FOX NEWS candidates", and it would free up time for candidates who were truly interested in some conversation/interviewing.

1. I guess Sarah Palin was the ultimate and final example of that method. |
|
Remember the VP debate against Biden? The McCain team coached her around the clock for a couple of weeks, but only succeeded in teaching her to barf out about four rehearsed answers. That just left her with the (seemingly difficult) job of trying to match the rehearsed answers to the questions so that at least a few people might actually think she answered the question.
It was ugly. Remember when the moderator asked her "as President, under what circumstances would you use NUCLEAR WEAPONS?" The points went up on her ears when she heard the words "nuclear weapons" and she barfed out the answer about why Iran shouldn't be allowed to get nuclear weapons.
There was another time she got asked a question, couldn't figure out which of the answers might match it and barfed out a completely un-related answer. Despite desperately trying to appear unbias, the moderator just couldn't let that one go by and said "Governor Palin, you didn't answer the question. So I'll ask it again..." She repeated the question, then Palin made it into a "maverick" response by saying "I'm not always gonna answer the media's questions the way they want them answered..." and then proceeded to barf out yet another totally unrelated answer.
It was just plain embarrassing. They could have taught a PARROT to recite better answers, and this despite using all those crackers to train Palin. That was 260 tubes of saltines the McCain camptaign paid for when they should have been spending the money on one of those radio receivers that George Bush used to use.
