"Entitlement" means you are entitled to it by law (i.e. you hold the title) |
|
As far as I'm concerned, anyone using the word in the Tea Party sense (i.e. others' money that you are getting undeservedly)
is actively, consciously working for the Tea Party.
That's all.
I know it's probably hopeless, but we lose too many battles by mindlessly adopting the right-wing terminology (and often, unconsciously, the right-wing concepts underlying the terminology) before we even start to fight.

1. The point you make is valid and well-taken. |

Even so, "Entitlement" has never been defined by, or had a $ value assigned to it. Therein lies the ambiguousness of its meaning.
So, while we are, indeed entitled, the question is: What is the value of our entitlement?
