Michael Steele should not be an MSNBC employee |
|
He is a liar, and he's not even good at it. His RW opinions are a waste of my time.
He's not MSNBC's Alan Colmes, he is just an idiot.
Fire his ass.

3. I guess, but that's my problem with him. He sucks so bad it just not worth watching. |
|
I'd be much happier with an semi-intelligent RW'er to play with.

2. He and Pat Buchanan are my "reach for the remote" triggers |
|
As soon as they show up, I jump to another channel. Same for Boner, Palin, Bachmann and any number of RepubliCONs.

4. At least Pat makes me laugh sometimes. |
|
Mainly because I think Pat knows he's talking bullshit most of the time.
Steele really believes what he spews.

He's racist, revisionist, and just plain nuts.

5. I agree. I couldn't believe they hired him and Rachel Maddow |
|
fawned all over him on his first night on with her. :puke: WTF? I understand that she likes to find a middle road with those freaks, but they will turn on you in a heartbeat, given the chance.
Will we ever learn that you cannot play nice with the evil repukes? Seriously! Look at what Murdoch has been doing! They are EVIL people. PURE EVIL.

I don't think he should be fired because he's not a Liberal, he should be fired because he's a dumbass.

11. I disagree... I don't think he's "meant to be convincing"... just to have "inside knowledge" |
|
Hell, after the shit he took at the hands of the Republican party I don't think even he can really keep a straight face when he explains where the Republicans are coming from... but having been one he does have some insight into the point of view that they're "coming from".
I don't blame anyone for dismissing him, but I find it interesting to hear his attempts to explain "where the Republicans are coming from", because it helps to get a sense of the way they "frame" the world—which in turn helps me, at least, to make sense out of the next argument they make because, while they may seem batshit crazy from the "outside", I presume that they will probably have a relatively consistent set of behaviors which make sense when seen from within the "frame".
It also helps to make it more obvious when they aren't behaving consistently, which makes it pretty easy to spot when they're just plain selling their souls to lobbyists and their ilk.
The interesting part about Steele is that he was so excoriated that he doesn't even seem to be bothered at this point by admitting the points where "Republican Logic" fails and leaps of faith are required. And he'll even laugh about the dogmatic leaping that is expected of Republicans at those points...
