Where have the better angels of our nature gone? Why have so many of the "leaders" of
this nation turned their backs on hope and beauty and pledged their all to filthy lucre? Please take a moment to listen to this music of a bygone era and reflect on what we are losing and what we have lost.

(Clip is of Enrico Caruso)

4. Your question
is our situation in a nutshell.
C-Span Q&A this weekend was with a woman who has spent the last 30 years photographing the art in public buildings. So much of it is closed to the public so her photos were amazing. As I watched it, in the back of my mind, I kept hearing the complaints from a certain sector if that was done today. The Library of Congress has her photos and the Department of Justice is just incredible.

She was so excited about her work and the beauty all over this country, Brian Lamb actually asked her if she ever felt like her head was going to explode. Really.
