Some recall ads in WI seem to have side-stepped collective bargaining issue
The radio ads I hear are coming out of Madison progressive radio against Olsen and the issue being worked in the ad is cutting education spending for children in order to give away money to corporate interests.

The same anti-education message is being worked in Milwaukee area television ads against Alberta Darling.

I find it interesting that the collective bargaining issue broadly promoted as the motivation that brought half a million outraged protestors to the Square in Madison in late winter isn't part of the media campaigns. At the same time there is no doubt that Walker's awful budget bill has made huge cuts to education at all levels.

Is this the same approach in the other recall races?

1. I think the collective bargaining issue is already clear in the minds of voters....
...now the Dems are focusing on the other issues. Much of Wisconsin seems to understand this is about a lot more than just collective bargaining.

3. Agreed. Those that are directly affected by the collective bargaining changes are well motivated.

The current ads are attempting to reach to a wider, more 'neutral' audience

2. Collective bargaining is a given. No one is sidestepping it, but all have by this time chosen a side
n't

6. Yes, that's reasonable
Although I would have thought that support for both issues is a given and I think that the populations in the recall districts are pretty much decided as well.

It probably does show a choice between messaging to GOTV and messaging to win an undecided vote.

4. I hope that our Wisconsin Dem. legislature can remember this outrage by the workers....

5. Right on: They are running as Democrats not fake Republicans
in a purple state and winning. Not just a one
issue campaign.
