If you are a Dem or Independent |
|
you best check to see if you are still registered to vote. I moved in January, changed my address with the recorders office and the DMV here in AZ. My friend who moved in with me did the same thing. If have not heard from them so I called them - they told me I am not registered. Huh? My friend called and was told they wanted proof he moved. Something smells here, really smells. My friend received a form to re-register but I did not. I was so upset I the phone and told them to get rid of all the damn republicans who want to take away my voting rights. I have never had a problem whenever I moved before. You better check to be on the safe side.

I do and will further look into this. But people are being kicked of the voting. I also know others.

3. I'm sure people appreciate the heads up and I hope that you get |
|
this straightened out soon.
In 2000 and 2004 people who were registered here were told they couldn't vote. I was hoping the suits would bring the election commission to its knees, but folks apparently just took it.
I've got to check to see how our new, not needed, voting law could effect college student.

There are two different forms going out to people here who moved. I called the recorders office - they never sent out a form that questions my friend. My friend did called the Dem party - the repukes are trying to suppress the vote here in AZ. The form my friend received asked detailed questions re parents. We all need to help those who believe they are registered - they may have been taken of the registration rolls. If you register someone - do a follow up. I think this is scary shit.

7. Yes, we need to take lessons from the civil rights movement of the 60-70s. |
|
We need to be absolutely sure that we get registered and help others. I think it would be a good idea when registering to ask for some type of receipt and a copy of the registration if possible. The DNC should be creating guidelines for this problem.
