It's incredible to me, that California public employees have allowed their money to be invested in Murdoch's empire, without major protests going on there about it. Even before this current scandal, you'd think there would've been major heat brought about this.

WTF? Does nobody care what their money is invested in anymore?

I realize there are lots of conservatives in CA, but what about those public employees who are NOT Rethugs? Funding Murdoch is ok with them? This isn't worth protesting at all?

I'm really shocked to learn this today. And it's not easy to be shocked by anything anymore.

3. Exactly.
Do people today really think that they can make themselves money from the scummiest of scum in this society, and then still pretend to have any actual scruples or principles about ANYTHING?

If so, that is total denial.

2. Ouch.
Public employees out here are already under full-scale attack by the M$M and pols -- even alleged Dems like San Jose mayor Chuck Reed. :puke: All they need is for CalPERS to take a bath if/when NewsCorp stock morphs into decorative wallpaper.

4. True.
I hate to see any more harm come to any public employees too. In this case though, I'm afraid it's going to be a case of "karma's a bitch".

5. It's not always easy to know everything about
the investments, the employees probably didn't know.
